Laem Phromthep, #Phuket

Situated between Rawai and Nai Harn beaches,
Phrom Thep Cape is a dramatic headland that stretches out to sea
at the southwest end of Phuket Island.

The cape has spectacular views of the small island of Koh Kaew Yai
and the Andaman Sea, and is a particularly popular place to enjoy the sunset.

At the top is a shrine dedicated to Brahma, the Hindu god of creation,
whom the cape is named after. (Phra Phrom is the Thai name for Brahma,
laem means “cape”, while thep means “god”).

To get an even better view, climb up a couple of flights of stairs to a raised platform
in the Golden Jubilee Lighthouse. The lighthouse also contains a small nautical museum.

The viewpoint attracts a lot of tourists and locals at sunset,
so if you want to avoid the crowds consider going earlier in the day.

There is an open-air restaurant with fantastic views from the cape
which can make for a memorable dining experience.
Laem Phrom Thep is located between Rawai and Nai Harn.
Head south from Rawai for a couple of kilometres.

There is a large car park and quite a few souvenir shops so you won’t miss it.
The road is steep and windy so take extra care, especially if its wet.

Wat Phra Kaew, #Bangkok

Wat Phra Kaew or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (officially known as Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram)
is regarded as the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand.

Located in the historic centre of Bangkok, within the grounds of the Grand Palace,
it enshrines Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha),
the highly revered Buddha image meticulously carved from a single block of jade.

The Emerald Buddha (Phra Putta Maha Mani Ratana Patimakorn)
is a Buddha image in the meditating position in the style of the Lanna school of the north,
dating from the 15th century AD.

Raised high on a series of platforms, no one is allowed near the Emerald Buddha except HM the King.

A seasonal cloak, changed three times a year
to correspond to the summer, winter, and rainy season covers the statue.

 \
A very important ritual, the changing of the robes is performed only
by the King to bring good fortune to the country during each season.

The temple of  Emerald Buddha is beautifully decorated and has a great sense of peace about it.

Nature Tours in Khao Sok, #Phuket

Khao Sok is perfectly situated on the mainland
between Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak and Koh Samui,
the most popular destinations in Southern Thailand.

Nature Tours are becoming popular in a big way.
In a way it’s not so surprising as Thailand has a lot to offer when it comes to exploring
and discovering the wonders of nature, especially in the Phuket, Khao Sok and Khao Lak regions.

Lumbering through the jungle on the back of a swaying elephant is an unforgettable experience,
as is a tree adventure tour and even more exhilerating is bamboo rafting
downstream during the rainy season, observing the jungle wildlife.
For the more active visitor to these regions, high adventure beckons.

Khao Sok National Park in Southern Thailand is an amazing place.
It is covered by the oldest evergreen rainforest in the world,
huge limestone mountains shooting straight up in the air, deep valleys,
breathtaking lakes, exciting caves, wild animals and much more.

It is a fantastic place to go on vacation. Close and personal elephant encounters,
jungle trekking on foot, canoeing.

Truck Safaris are all possible activities, which will give you the experience of a lifetime.

We also recommend tours to visit various locations in Khao Sok.
One of the most interesting areas is stunningly beautiful Cheow Larn Lake
in the heart of the National Park with its floating raft houses
and luxury tents – an absolute must-see!
