Wat Phra Nang Sang, #Phuket

This is the oldest Buddhist temple on Phuket
and was builtwhen Thalang was still the capital of the island.
The grounds of this historic temple
are where the Battle of Thalang took place in 1785,
when the local people fought off Burmese invaders.

It is rumoured that the Burmese were after the temple’s Lai Tong,
religious manuscripts which are folded like an accordion.

These manuscripts were believed
to contain treasure maps which the Burmese wanted to find.

The temple is sometimes referred to as the “Temple of the White Blood”
because of a woman who according to folklore, bled white blood when she was cut.
The ordination hall is dedicated to her.

Wat Phra Nang Sang is located on Thepkrasatri Road,
just before the main junction at Thalang,
on the left hand side if heading away from Phuket City

Laem Phromthep, #Phuket

Situated between Rawai and Nai Harn beaches,
Phrom Thep Cape is a dramatic headland that stretches out to sea
at the southwest end of Phuket Island.

The cape has spectacular views of the small island of Koh Kaew Yai
and the Andaman Sea, and is a particularly popular place to enjoy the sunset.

At the top is a shrine dedicated to Brahma, the Hindu god of creation,
whom the cape is named after. (Phra Phrom is the Thai name for Brahma,
laem means “cape”, while thep means “god”).

To get an even better view, climb up a couple of flights of stairs to a raised platform
in the Golden Jubilee Lighthouse. The lighthouse also contains a small nautical museum.

The viewpoint attracts a lot of tourists and locals at sunset,
so if you want to avoid the crowds consider going earlier in the day.

There is an open-air restaurant with fantastic views from the cape
which can make for a memorable dining experience.
Laem Phrom Thep is located between Rawai and Nai Harn.
Head south from Rawai for a couple of kilometres.

There is a large car park and quite a few souvenir shops so you won’t miss it.
The road is steep and windy so take extra care, especially if its wet.

Simon Cabaret, #Phuket

Since opening in October 18, 1991, Phuket Simon Cabaret
has established itself as a market leader of professional entertainment venue.

For sheer entertainment, They set designs are outstanding,
costume extravagant and the performers glamorous !

In the exclusive , luxurious and intimate theater
with hi-tech sound and lighting equipment.

They show is truly international featuring modern
and traditional acts from around the globe in English and alternative languages.

Walking into the Simon Cabaret show theater
in Patong is just like entering a movie house.

Simon Cabaret has been entertaining visitors to Phuket for two decades.
And many of the current “stars” have been on stage since the beginning.

They performers are very committed to looking their best for the audience.
This includes hours of preparation with make-up
and costume fittings each evening.

There’s the same Kenny G saxophone music,
the same plush seats and the same dimmed lights.

Yes, this is real live showtime and the flash and
flesh are pure Vegas except for one thing the ‘girls’ on stage are actually men.

Since 1991 Simon Cabaret has been entertaining visitors with its melange of camp,
glitter and cornball and it still is one of the island’s biggest draws.

It’s only when a basso profound voice announces the show
and the curtain rises on live performers glistening
with sequins and shimmering with feathers that things are different.

You will arrive relaxed but will leave confuses as our performers is more of a man
than you will ever be and even more of a woman too
